A Thai Hard Adventure

A Thai Hard Adventure

A visit to Chiang Mai is an unforgettable and adventure-packed experience as you put on your walking boots and trek these hills. Identified as one of the main attractions of Northern Thailand for trekking, this area is home to many ethnic hill tribes such as Karen, Lahu, Lisu, Chan and Meow, as well as a large population of domestic elephants and other wildlife. The Mae Taeng Valley provides views of lush jungle, local wildlife and encounters with exotic hill tribes. Escape the concrete world of the cities to be one with nature, which is what Thailand is all about.

1 : Arrival Chiang Mai

You will be received at Chiang Mai airport and dropped to your hotel. Please relay the flight arrival details at least 14 days prior to your departure and remember that the check-in time is 12 noon. The day of arrival is free for you to explore Chiang Mai or just laze by the pool. In the evening, the local guide will brief you at the hotel regarding the trek. You will have an overnight stay at hotel.

2 : Hill Tribe Trek

You will meet your local guide at 8.45 am and travel for about 3 hours in a songthaew (an open pick-up truck). After lunch, you begin your 2 days of moderate-level trekking through a tropical jungle, seeking out the ethnic hill tribes. There will be 4-5 hours of trekking each day and though the pace will be comfortable, it is recommended to have a decent level of fitness. The weather and local conditions dictate the itinerary and routes taken. The trek pack and any additional items are your responsibility to carry. You will meet many tribes, learn about their unique languages, food and style of dressing and also experience their charm of living. You will stay in one village each night, interact with the natives, cook with them and spend the night in bamboo huts.
