Cycling through the Spanish Jewel of Andalusia

Andalusia is a melting pot of European and Arabic culture, modernity and tradition full of scenic beauty and amazing architecture. Follow our well-designed route through hills and valleys and the wild landscape of the Sierras as you visit Seville and Cordoba to uncover the Moorish Andalusia. As you go past narrow streets, lively markets, visit the Alhambra, the Real Alcazar and the Mezquita – scenes of a world gone by will come alive. As you sample some cervezas, tapas, wine, jamon iberico and enjoy some flamenco, you will discover the glory of this southernmost region of Spain.

Day 1 : Arrive in Malaga

Arrive in the bustling port city of Malaga. It is recommended to visit the Picasso Museum, the cathedral, the Moorish Alcazaba fortress, and the Gibralfaro castle here.

Day 2 : Malaga - Granada - Antequera

Take a 2 hour bus transfer to the beautiful city of Granada, where you will see the famous 9th century old red castle of Alhambra. In the evening, reach Antequera, the starting point of your bike trip.

Day 3 : Antequera - Lucena; Cycle (Approx. 65 km)

The bike trip starts from Antequera and continues with a ride on the old railway line through the beautiful countryside to Lucena.

Day 4 : Lucena - Baena; Cycle (Approx. 35 km)

Continue your journey along the old railway line passing vast olive groves to Baena, a city that is known for its agriculture and tradition-conscious people. It is recommended to visit the 16th century old Santa Maria la Mayor Church here.

Day 5 : Baena - Cordoba; Cycle (Approx. 55 km)

Today you take the scenic route, surrounded by pine trees and farms that specialize in the breeding of fighting bulls, to Cordoba. In the evening, it is recommended to take a city trip and visit the Great Mosque.Meals: Breakfast.

Day 6 : Cordoba - Ecija/Rio Palma; Cycle (Approx. 55 km)

Ride along the Guadalquivir valley to reach Ecija, a city known for horse breeding.

Meals: Breakfast.

Day 7 : Ecija/Rio Palma - Carmona; Cycle (Approx. 65 km)

Today as you cycle through the Campiña of Seville to reach Carmona, you will pass by the underground-fed inland lagoons and small Mediterranean oak forests. Carmona is a city known for its Baroque palaces, churches and monasteries.

Day 8 : Carmona - Seville; Cycle (Approx. 30 km)

Cycle over the gently rolling plateau of Alcores to one of the most fertile agricultural areas in Andalusia. Today’s destination is Seville, where three of the most important operas are performed. In the evening, enjoy a guided walking excursion.

Day 9 : Departue from Seville

Your cycling trip ends today, but your vacation doesn't have to. Extend your stay in Seville, or further customize the rest of your trip.
