Welcome to Equino Fun Holiday's Swiss South to North Tour. On arrival at Zurich International Airport, transfer by train to Lugano, the largest town in the holiday region of Ticino. It is not only Switzerland's third most important financial centre and a conference, banking and business centre, but also a town of parks and flowers, villas and sacred buildings.

Overnight at Lugano
After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Swiss miniature, located 5 Km from Lugano, it is an open-air museum where you can admire the most important Swiss buildings and means of transportation. All the 1:25 scale models are inserted in a 14,000 m2 park, decorated by 15,000 flower varieties and more than 1500 trees. Inside you will find more than 120 models representing the patrician houses, castles, cathedrals and other buildings of Switzerland. For the fans of the railways-models you have more than 3500 m of rails with no less than 18 trains, funiculars, rack-railways, cable- cars and boats in motion.
The afternoon is at leisure to explore this Italian Swiss town, you may want to indulge in some shopping at Via Nassa, one of Lugano's historical streets and Lugano's number one shopping destination or Via Catterale another shopping street - typically Ticinese and very lively thanks to a multitude of small boutiques that are lined up on both sides of the street or visit the Foxtown factory Outlet Mall with 130 shops in Mendrisio, the stores offer prestigious brands at prices discounted from 30% to 70% during whole year.

After breakfast, proceed to Lugano train station for transfer to Bern. On arrival, check into your hotel. Day is at leisure to explore the heritage city of Bern. The Old Town of Bern has been featured in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1983. Take a look round this fabulous cultural site and enjoy the charm of the covered arcades, cobbled streets and decorated facades. Cathedral, Clock Tower, Bear Pits, Houses of Parliament and Bundesplatz, River Aare, more than 100 fountains, arcades, Zoological Gardens - these and many more sights are key features of Bern.

Enjoy your Breakfast in the morning. Visit the famous Bear Park, In 2009 the new Bear Park was opened, including the historic Bear-Pit, the city's most popular tourist attraction for almost 500 years. Legend has it that when Bern was founded, it was named after the first animal killed there: a bear. The bears of Bern now have a modern 6,000 square meters park at their disposal that they can reach via a tunnel. You get to see the new park with its green hilly terrain, which includes caves and the "Bear Bath" in the Aare River. The highlight is the feeding of the young bear couple - viewed from a safe distance.
In the afternoon admire the unique architecture of Bern. The city of Bern was built with local sandstone in Gothic style with gables, bay windows, and more arcades than any city in Europe: Entire rows of houses merge into one integrated whole, all connected by long covered promenades - the arcades. Umbrellas made from stone... - rain or shine, it is a pure delight to leisurely stroll along one of the longest shopping promenades in Europe providing a unique shopping experience! Throughout the city are towers, arcades, and lots of old fountains. The fantastic Clock Tower has puppets that pop out before the hour and perform a little skit.
Overnight stay in Bern.
After the breakfast, proceed for train transfer to Basel, located on both sides of the Rhine, in the three-country-corner of Switzerland, Germany and France, Basel is the third largest city in Switzerland. Not only diverse cultures, but also a multifaceted history, modern art and architecture converge here. Visit the Kunstmusem, which among other things houses some of the famous works of Pablo Picasso. Basel boasts of many museums to satiate the appetite of learning and exploring in its visitors.
Overnight at Basel
Enjoy your Breakfast in the morning. Later proceed to enjoy, one of the most attractive boat excursions in Europe is the Untersee -Rhein Cruise, the three countries, Germany, Switzerland and France meet here. The famous boat trip starts at Kreuzlingen, crosses the Untersee and leads you up the Rhine until the city of Schaffhausen: 50km of enchanting lake- and riverside scenery. It is rightly regarded as one of the most beautiful cruises of Europe.

Overnight at Basel
Enjoy a leisurely buffet breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to train station to board a train to Zurich.
Arrive and check in at your hotel. Relax at your hotel or step out and explore the city on your own. OR visit the Rhine Falls, Europe's largest waterfall. They are truly magnificent, not so much for their height (a mere 23m) as for their impressive breadth (150m) and the sheer drama of the place, with the spray rising in a cloud of rainbows above the forested banks. The turreted castle Schloss Laufen on a cliff directly above the falls to the south completes the spectacle. To get here, take a train from Zurich to Schaffhausen to visit the spectacular Rhine Falls. Get close to the falls with a boat ride.
Overnight at Zurich
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel. Later proceed to the airport for your flight back to India with happy memories of your Swiss vacation.
