DAY 01: Mumbai - Cairo
Arrive Cairo - the Jewel of the Orient, the City of the Thousand Minarets, and the Melting Pot of Ancient and Modern Egyptian Civilizations, where our representative will meet and assist you and transfer you to your hotel. Overnight at your hotel. |
DAY 02: Cairo
After breakfast at the hotel, full day tour of Cairo including Pyramids of Giza, the one and only Wonder which does not require a description by early historians and poets. It is the oldest and the only surviving of the Seven Ancient Wonders. The sphinx - the Egyptian sphinx is usually a head of a king wearing his headdress and the body of a lion. |
DAY 03: Cairo - Cruise
Arrive Aswan & transfer to Cruise Station for your Cruise program of 4 nights/ 5 days. Visit of High Dam, Old Dam embarkation before lunch - the world famous High Dam was an engineering miracle when it was built in the 1960s. It contains 18 times the material used in the Great Pyramid of Cheops. After lunch sail by felucca and visit Botanical Gardens. Dinner & overnight on board. |
 DAY 04: Cruise
An opportunity to take the optional excursion to Abu Simbel by bus or plane. Abu Simbel is a set of two temples near the border of Egypt with Sudan. It was constructed for the pharaoh Ramesses II who reigned for 67 years during the 13thcentury BC (19th Dynasty). Afternoon sailing to Kom Ombo. Kom Ombo is dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Haroeris (Horus the Elder). Visit Temple of Sobek. Continuing sailing to Edfu - the major Ptolemaic temple of Edfu - the best preserved major temple in Egypt. Dinner & overnight on board. |
DAY 05: Cruise
Morning visit Temple of Horus. Sailing to Luxor. Afternoon visit of Karnak & Luxor Temple - At the northern end of town is the sprawling Karnak complex of temples built over a span of about 1,500 years. It is famous for its main Hypostyle Hall with 134 massive columns. One can wander for hours amongst the ruins. Dinner & overnight on board. |
DAY 06: Cruise
Morning visit of Hateschpsut Temple - the mortuary temple of 18th-dynasty Queen Hatshepsut is a masterpiece of design and has been under restoration for about a century. Check out after Breakfast. Transfer to Train Station for your train to Cairo. Board the first class sleeper class train. Dinner will be served on board. |
DAY 07: Cairo
Arrive Cairo & transfer to your hotel. Day is free at leisure or optional full day Alexandria. Alexandria, the shining pearl of the Mediterranean, and the beacon radiating its culture and heritage to the world at large. Visit the Graeco-Roman Museum, the Catacombs of Kom al-Shoqafa, the Tombs of Al-Anfushi & many more. After this wonderful day enjoy your dinner at an Indian restuarant. Overnight at hotel. |
DAY 08: Cairo - Mumbai
Breakfast at the hotel. Later transfer to airport for your flight to Mumbai with all the happy memories of your tour with Equino Fun Holidays. |
