DAY 01: Mumbai - Barcelona
Welcome to Barcelona! On arrival transfer to Hotel. Day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 02: Barcelona
After breakfast, walk along the Rambla to Barcelona’s largest open market, the Boquería, and the interesting antique shops of Plaça del Pi. Explore the Gothic Quarter, or Barri Gòtic, where most of the architecture dates back to the 13th and 15th centuries. Today you’ll visit Plaça Nova and Barcelona’s cathedral – completed over a period of 500 years, the octagonal bell towers and fragrant, lush flowers make it unique. The architect Antoni Gaudí I Cornet is synonymous with Barcelona; his buildings from the late-19th and early-20th centuries are considered design masterpieces. Visit extraordinary El Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família, his unfinished cathedral featuring three different facades, each with four finely detailed, intricate spires and a dome that towers over 500 feet. Enjoy a rare opportunity to view the impressive building efforts ongoing today. Two hills tower over the city; Barcelona’s sea-front hill, Montjuic, was the main site of the 1992 Olympics. Visit the impressive stadium that overlooks the city and the port, as well as other Olympic attractions. The remainder of the day is at your leisure in Barcelona. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 03: Granada - Ronda
After breakfast, fly today from Barcelona in northern Spain to Granada, located in the foothills of the snow-capped Sierra Nevada. Visit the Alhambra, one of the world’s most beautiful palaces, built by Moorish rulers. Tour the palace, and the lovely adjoining terraced quarters of the Generalife, grounds of the former sultans’ summer palace. Continue on to Ronda, arriving early evening. Set high above Tajo Gorge, the incomparable setting has attracted artists, poets and writers, the likes of Ernest Hemingway, seeking some form of artistic inspiration. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 04: Ronda - Andalucía - Seville
This morning after breakfast, city tour of Ronda. Ronda is renowned for its historic bullring, influences from eight centuries of Moorish occupation and dramatic views that may be experienced on a morning walk. Following lunch, depart northward through Andalucía; view small, whitewashed towns that gradually become more picturesque with the ascent in altitude. Mountain pueblos often are brilliantly splashed with colorful flowers, and a traditional way of life still exists today. Arrive late in the afternoon in Seville; enjoy a private flamenco show and tapas dinner tonight. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 05: Seville
After breakfast see the treasures of Seville including Parque de María Luisa, displaying buildings from the Spanish-American Exhibition of 1929, and an eclectic array of plants; Plaza de America; Palacio de San Telmo; the former Royal Tobacco Factory where the fictional Carmen worked; Murillo Gardens; and exhibition buildings from Expo ’92. A walking tour includes a visit to the world’s third largest cathedral featuring the “disputed” tomb of Christopher Columbus. Barrio de Santa Cruz, the former Jewish Quarter, is a maze of old streets filled with beautiful hanging baskets. The afternoon and evening are free to enjoy Seville. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 06: Córdoba - Madrid
Today after breakfast travel to Córdoba. A beautiful maze of small streets and narrow alleyways, featuring patios surrounded by wrought-iron gates filled with scented flowers, awaits exploration. Take a walking tour through the fascinating Jewish Quarter, followed by a visit to Córdoba’s most famous site, La Mezquita, the third largest mosque in the world. Built in the 8th century, it is an architectural masterpiece filled with mosaics and gilded tiles. Journey by high-speed AVE train to Madrid. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 07: Madrid

Morning after breakfast, see Palacio de Oriente, the opulent Royal Palace built in the 18th century; Puerto del Sol; the Neptuno and Cibeles fountains; grand avenues such as Gran Vía and Castellana; El Parque del Buen Retiro, designed in the 18th century for Spanish nobility; and the bullring on a morning sightseeing tour. Visit the Museo del Prado, one of the world’s most renowned museums. Join us this evening for a farewell reception and dinner featuring traditional Castillan entertainment. Overnight at hotel.



DAY 08: Madrid - Mumbai
After breakfast transfer to airport for your flight back to Mumbai. Return with all the happy memories of your tour with Equino Fun Holidays.
